Population: Our Day Centre is a meeting place for aging adults coping with dementias like Alzheimer’s disease

 

Language: English ; French ; Chinese (Cantonese) ; Italian ; Russian ; Services offered in a 24 languages

 

Services: 

• Opportunities to socialize and participate in recreational activities

• Supervised dining, including Kosher snacks and hot meals

• Escorted transportation

• Kosher snacks and hot meals

• Celebration of Jewish holidays and traditions

• Support for family caregivers

Hot Kosher lunch and snacks provided Food cost included in program price Can accommodate special diets (diabetic, gluten free, etc.) Assistance and cueing provided Clients must be able to feed themselves and to swallow

Mobility AssistanceAssistance provided with mobility aids (cane, walker, wheelchair) Program space is wheelchair accessible No scooters, motorized wheelchairs One person assist for transfers

 

Fees: $36 per day * subsidy available for eligible participants * additional fee for transportation
